Prof. Johnson Zixin WANG

Dr. Johnson Wang obtained his Bachelor of Medicine and Master of Medicine from School of Public Health, Peking University, and his Doctor of Philosophy in Public Health from JC School of Public Health and Primary Care, the Chinese University of Hong Kong. He has been appointed as Assistant Professor in JC School of Public Health and Primary Care since 2020. Dr. Wang received the Early Career Award by the International Society of Behavioral Medicine in 2016. An innovative HIV self-testing service developed by Dr. Wang was listed in the compendium of evidence-based interventions and best practices for HIV prevention by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). He serves as a board member and a member of the service committee for AIDS Concern, a leading non-governmental organization in sexual health and HIV prevention in Hong Kong. He is also a member of executive committee of the Centre for Health Behaviours Research in the Chinese University of Hong Kong. He is the Principle Investigator (PI)/Co-PI of 22 research grants (over HK$ 21 million) and has published over 160 papers in peer-reviewed journals.
