Education

At JCSPHPC, we deliver a comprehesive educational experience for both students eager to explore public health, and for professionals looking to enhance their knowledge and skills. Our curriculum spans undergraduate to postgraduate programmes, providing a solid foundation complemented by hands-on practicums, lab projects and research participation. Additionally, an evolving assortment of diploma, certificate and training programmes is available to support individuals in and beyond the healthcare sector to navigate various public health areas.

The Jockey Club School of Public Health and Primary Care (JCSPHPC) is the first and only institution in Asia to have both our Bachelor of Science in Public Health (BScPH) and Master of Public Health (MPH) programmes fully accredited by the Agency for Public Health Education Accreditation (APHEA), a leading global accreditation body for public health schools and programmes.

The school offers three bachelor programs designed to train young public health professionals: the Bachelor of Science in Public Health (JS4537), the Bachelor of Science in Community Health Practice, and the Bachelor of Science in Gerontology.
Master's Programme
We offer a robust portfolio of taught postgraduate programmes designed to equip students with the knowledge, skills and vision to shape a healthier future for local and global communities.
The Master of Philosophy and Doctor of Philosophy in Public Health (MPhil-PhD) offered are both comprehensive and articulated, designed to cultivate researchers with an interdisciplinary outlook and independent research capabilities in public and population health, along with community-oriented primary care.
As a member of the CUHK Faculty of Medicine, we also contribute to the Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB) programmes by providing six courses to equip future medical practitioners with a community-based approach to care and the necessary skills to enhance population health.

The JCSPHPC offers a range of specialised programmes to enhance professional skills in public health and medicine, including professional certificate programmes, diplomas, and training services for public and official institutions.
