Co-organised by Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST) and The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK), the HUST-CUHK Innovative Medical Forum was successfully held on 22 December 2023 via Zoom. Joining the Forum were experts and young scholars from School of Public Health, HUST, and the JC School of Public Health and Primary Care (JCSPHPC), CUHK. The Forum served as a knowledge platform for outstanding young academics and researchers to share invaluable insights and exchange views on topics connected to environmental and occupational health.
The Forum was co-chaired by Prof Weihong CHEN, Director, Department of Occupational and Environmental Health, School of Public health, HUST, and Prof Shelly TSE, Associate Director (Mainland China Affairs), JCSPHPC, CUHK. The opening remarks were delivered by Prof An PAN, Director of School of Public Health, HUST, and Prof Samuel WONG, Director of JC School of Public Health and Primary Care, CUHK. The sessions that followed were 4 young scholar presentations and commentaries. The Forum was well received, with over 100 faculty members and students joining the virtual event.
We would like to express our sincere gratitude to Huazhong University of Science and Technology in co-organising this successful HUST-CUHK Innovative Medical Forum. We look forward to more teaching and research collaborations between the two universities, that aim to safeguard the health of individuals in their workplace and communities.
