Keynote Speech: “Taking Clinical Trials to the People Who Matter” by Professor Chris Butler
The PRINCIPLE and PANORAMIC trials of community treatments for COVID-19 represent models of innovation and inclusivity, and exemplify the potential of primary care to lead the way in addressing pressing global health challenges through “well designed and well implemented clinical trials that include all the major population groups the intervention is intended to help” that the World Health Assembly calls for in its 2022 resolution, 75.8.
