A delegation of three representatives from Collaborating Centre for Oxford University and CUHK for Disaster and Medical Humanitarian Response (CCOUC) of The Jockey Club School of Public Health and Primary Care (JCSPHPC) led by CCOUC Co-Director Prof. Emily Ying-yang Chan participated in the 2nd Forum on China-ASEAN Cooperation in Public Health & Annual Assembly of China-ASEAN University Consortium on Medicine and Health in Beijing, China on 27 June 2024 to share views on key issues in innovations in development cooperation for medical devices and technology. Prof Chan delivered a keynote speech titled “Experience Sharing of Global Medical and Humanitarian Assistance in ASEAN countries during post COVID-era” in the forum.

The forum was organised by the China-ASEAN Science and Technology Cooperation Center for Public Health of Peking University School of Public Health. It invited leaders from Chinese government departments including the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Ministry of Education, the National Health Commission, and the National Bureau of Disease Control and Prevention, experts from World Health Organization, representatives of ASEAN Partner Institutions, and representatives of other domestic and foreign governments, international institutions, and academia to explore in-depth topics and share researches, policies, and practice on medical devices regulation, climate change and health, digital health, maternal and child health, and health diplomacy.
The forum was successfully held in Beijing on 26 – 28 June 2024.
