Dr. Kenny YUEN
The MScHSM (Master of Science in Health Services Management) program has been an incredibly impactful experience that has significantly contributed to my personal and professional growth.
As a surgeon, my primary focus has always been patient care; nevertheless, this program has broadened my perspective, allowing me to understand the various roles and challenges within the healthcare system. It seamlessly bridges theory with practical applications, and the diverse professional backgrounds of our professors and classmates foster dynamic in-class discussions. Moreover, the program has also equipped me with relevant management skills that are immediately applicable in my daily role.
Despite the challenging nature of the coursework, the journey has been exceptionally rewarding. I wholeheartedly recommend this program to aspiring healthcare leaders who seek to make a meaningful impact in the sector and advance their careers. “Busy yet worthy.”

Dr. Dacita SUEN
My inspiration to study the Master of Science in Health Services Management at CUHK stemmed from a desire to deepen my understanding of health systems and improve healthcare delivery. The comprehensive curriculum and practical experiences equipped me to navigate the complexities of the healthcare landscape with confidence.
A standout memory for me was the site visits; these opportunities are not easily arranged independently and provided invaluable insights into real-world operations. Visiting various facilities allowed me to observe the practical application of theoretical concepts, engage with professionals in the fields, and understand the challenges they face daily. These experiences not only enriched my learning but also helped me develop a network of contacts with the industry.
To current students, I advise you to embrace every opportunity for hands-on learning and networking. Immerse yourself fully in the program, as the knowledge and relationships you build will be invaluable in your career journey.

Mr. Kevin ORR
The Master of Public Health (MPH) program of JCSPHPC provided me with a transformative experience and knowledge. Its multidisciplinary approach equipped me with better knowledge and skills to prepare and respond to public health and pandemic challenges and be capable of advocating healthcare policy and implementation.
A highlight of my learning journey is that I was honoured to be taught by great professors who gave me life-changing perspectives on public health and the healthcare system, which shaped my professional healthcare career with whole-person development. I was also grateful to study with diverse healthcare professional peers and learn from each other in group projects, such as topics in hospital management and sports medicine, and thereafter we developed lifelong connections.
These memorable learning experiences have strengthened my leadership, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities. It reinforced my commitment to creating an impactful public health and primary healthcare system, that embraces evidence-based research, healthcare technology, and social innovations, to improve health for all and build a healthier and sustainable future. I strongly encourage the future public health leaders to join the MPH program.
