As a core member of a top Asian medical school, the CUHK Faculty of Medicine, JCSPHPC is the first and only institution in Asia to have both Bachelor of Science in Public Health and Master of Public Health programmes fully accredited by the APHEA, a leading global accreditation body for public health schools and programmes.

We are also the first and only institution in Hong Kong that integrates public health, primary care and family medicine teaching and research. Our Bachelor of Science in Public Health programme is the only undergraduate programme of its kind in the city.

Programmes provided by JCSPHPC place a strong emphasis on connecting theory with practice to enhance analytical and research skills. Undergraduate students are requested to complete 100 hours of fieldwork and a research project based on their chosen field of interest under the guidance of a supervisor. Postgraduate students in taught or research programmes are trained in an interdisciplinary environment enriched by practicum.

More than 280 exchange programmes are provided for CUHK students in scopes varying from department and faculty, to college and university-wide. These programmes are administered by the Office of Academic Links and students interested in gaining overseas learning experience can click here to learn more.

JCSPHPC students are eligible to apply for a variety of scholarships and awards presented by the School, Faculty, and the University, including but not limited to the Hong Kong Housing Society Award, the Pearl Island Lions Club Public Health Scholarship, the To Teuk Ki Public Health Research Project Outstanding Award, and the Viatris Public Health and Primary Care Admission Scholarship. Research graduate students can apply for a range of scholarships, fellowships and visitorship programmes that promote international research collaboration. More details are available here.
