To foster knowledge exchange, scholars and students from around the world visit our School every year. A delegation from Sun Yat-sen University (SYSU) in Guangzhou visited The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) and the JC School of Public Health and Primary Care on 13 and 14 November 2024. We are delighted to receive them with an itinerary to experience the robust academic atmosphere at CUHK and to explore the research landscape of JCSPHPC.
On 13 November, the delegation enjoyed a guided tour arranged by the CUHK Library. The delegation was introduced to the teaching facilities and study spaces available at the Library, as well as the learning resources for student use. The delegates also visited exhibitions at the CUHK Art Museum, which is regarded as one of the best university museums in greater China.
At JCSPHPC, insightful research-sharing sessions were organized on 14 November for our academics to present on various topics , including Environmental & Occupational Health, Infectious Diseases, Epidemiology and Biostatistics, Health Systems, Policy and Management, Family Medicine and Primary Care, and Health Promotion and Social Behaviour. It was a great opportunity for our academics and the SYSU delegation to exchange ideas and thoughts in the fields of public health and primary care.
We hope the SYSU delegation found their visit both enjoyable and enriching. We look forward to welcoming them again in the future.
