In this talk, Professor Sales will discuss the use of specific frameworks developed through implementation research to design implementation interventions to use in implementing evidence based practices in routine care. She will also discuss process models, determinant frameworks, and evaluation frameworks briefly as she discuss systematic approaches to use these, together with implementation strategies and behaviour change techniques, in implementation of evidence based practices.

About the Speaker:
Professor Anne Sales, PhD RN
Prof Anne Sales is a nurse and Professor in the Sinclair School of Nursing and the Department of Family and Community Medicine in the School of Medicine at the University of Missouri (Columbia). She is also a Research Scientist at the Center for Clinical Management Research at the VA Ann Arbor Healthcare System.
Her training is in sociology, health economics, econometrics, and general health services research. Her work involves theory-based design of implementation interventions, including: understanding how feedback reports affect provider behaviour and through behaviour change have an impact on patient outcomes; the role of social networks in implementation interventions; and effective implementation methods using electronic health records and digital interventions. She has completed over 40 funded research projects, many focused on implementation research. She is a founding co-Editor-in-Chief of Implementation Science Communications.
About the moderator:
Professor Vincent CH Chung, B Chin Med, BSc Biomed Sci (HKBU), MSc Evid Based Healthcare (Oxford), PhD Public Health (CUHK)
Prof Chung is a registered Chinese medicine practitioner with training in both evidence based healthcare and public health. As a Jockey Club Scholar, he received Bachelor of Chinese Medicine and Bachelor of Biomedical Science (First Class) from Hong Kong Baptist University. With support from the Li Po Chun Charitable Trust Fund – Overseas Postgraduate Study and Professional Training Scholarship, he completed his MSc in Evidence based Healthcare in Oxford University. He studied his PhD in Public Health at The Chinese University of Hong Kong, focusing on health services research.
He is one of the few scholars with research spanning across clinical, public health, and policy aspects of Integrative Medicine. He envisions evidence-based integration of conventional and complementary healthcare by promoting rigorous research, policy advocacy, and quality education locally, nationally, and internationally. He has published more than 133 articles in international peer-reviewed academic journals.
