Our Assistant Professor, Dr Benjamin Hon-Kei YIP, has been awarded SH Ho Visiting Professorship Exchange Programme 2020 (Faculty of Medicine, CUHK and Stanford University). He will spend two months visiting Stanford University in San Francisco to deliver a series of lectures and build up collaborations with the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioural Sciences.
SH Ho Visiting Professorship Exchange Programme is an exchange programme supported by a generous donation made by the S H Ho Foundation Limited to encourage research and scholarship exchange between The Chinese University of Hong Kong and Stanford University, USA.
In the coming exchange programme, Dr Yip will attach to various basic research and clinical research teams at the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioural Sciences to build up collaborations between CUHK and Stanford. He will study sex differences in behavoiural phenotypes, including female camouflaging phenomenal, and differences in genetic susceptibility to autism spectrum disorders. In the future, these projects will facilitate application of neurodiversity projects in Hong Kong.
This will be a precious experience for Dr Yip to further enhance his academic pursuits and career. Congratulations, Dr Yip.
