Prof. Wendy WONG

Dr. Wong is a registered Chinese Medicine Practitioner in Hong Kong with extensive expertise in primary care evaluation research. Her work focuses on enhancing doctor-patient communication for both Western and Chinese medicine physicians, alongside evaluating quality of care using validated patient-reported outcomes. A student of the Lineage Studio of Traditional Chinese Medicine Oncology under Prof. Chen BingZhong, she specializes in integrative oncology and primary care.

Currently in private practice, Dr. Wong holds numerous prestigious academic appointments. She is an Adjunct Associate Professor at the Chinese University of Hong Kong (within both the Jockey Club School of Public Health and Primary Care and the Institute of Integrative Medicine), and an Honorary Associate Professor at the University of Hong Kong’s Department of Family Medicine and Primary Care. She also serves as an Honorary Professor at the Beijing University of Chinese Medicine and an Honorary Fellow at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University.

Her clinical leadership includes roles as Senior Chinese Medicine Practitioner at Yan Chai Hospital – HKBU Chinese Medicine Clinic (Kwai Tsing), Visiting Consultant at HEAL Medical, Medical Director at Yat Hei Medical Centre, and Honorary Consultant for the Cancerinformation.com.hk Charity Foundation.

Dr. Wong graduated from Hong Kong Baptist University in 2004, majoring in Biomedical Science and Chinese Medicine, later earning her PhD and completing a Post-doctoral Fellowship at HKU. An active researcher, she has secured grants for diverse disease management projects, publishing extensively on acupuncture, herbal medicine trials, and health surveys in top journals like Scientific Reports, PLOS ONE, and Quality of Life Research.
