Bio

Prof. Li is currently a Research Assistant Professor at the JC School of Public Health and Primary Care and she is focusing on CVD epidemiology and prevention and occupational and environmental exposures on cardiometabolic diseases and mental health. She has published over 60 scientific articles in international peer-reviewed journals. Her recent research focuses on occupational harmful factors (e.g. occupational noise exposure, PAHs and VOCs), environmental factors (e.g. greenspace, environmental noise exposure) and their impacts on human health such as hypertension, hearing loss, metabolism syndrome and mental health.

Research Interest

  • CVD epidemiology and prevention
  • Occupational and environmental exposures on cardiometabolic diseases and mental health
  • Shift work, lifestyle behaviour (e.g. smoking, physical activity, sleep pattern) and health (obesity, metabolism syndrome, CVD, diabetes and hearing loss)

Recent Funded Research Projects

  1. 3/2024-7/2024, Investigating Nature Based Solutions for Climate, Air Pollution and Health: Co-benefits, health inequalities and future research directions. ENSURE – a partnership between The Chinese University of Hong Kong and the University of Exeter. Co-I
